Programs AELC programming is aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment and taught to maximize student learning with respect to listening, speaking, reading, and writing in English. Learners progress through the instructional series based on mastery at each level, as identified through the tracking of measurable goals. Our integrated curriculum is taught in thematic units, giving students the opportunity to immediately practice their developing skills in ways that are memorable and effective. In 2012, ACCET evaluators deemed our instructional methods, “…a model of adult ESL excellence.”   Our 8-week terms help learners master the English skills necessary for academics, business, and social/cultural interaction in the U.S. We specialize in preparing students for the challenges of an American university education, with particular attention given to TOEFL and IELTS preparation, verbal proficiency, and academic writing. Classes are held from 9:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., Monday -Thursday, and from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Fridays. To see the dates of our upcoming terms, click here.
